We sell Comfrey a few different ways: either cutting, crowns and in the future as plants.

Comfrey is a truly amazing plant, a must have in every garden. It has so many uses from medicinal, to fertilizer and everything in between. We personally use it in all our creams, drink it as tea for certain ailments, as compost, fertilizer, feed, and use it in place of many antibiotics in our livestock. The plants we sell are propagated only by the roots and do not spread like weeds via the seeds. Many people, when moving from property to property simply dig up some roots and take them with them to their new place.

The variety of comfrey we sell is most likely the Russian Variety Bocking 14. I do not make any guarantees about this but it has every characteristic of the variety from lots of foliage with large leaves, to no viable seeds but propagates very well by dividing the roots. So it is easy to control its spread.

WHAT YOU GET: 5 root crowns:

This is a root cutting with a strong sprout or part of the plant already on it. It will produce usable foliage quickly. If you want something fast get a few of these crowns.

These cutting are best planted in Spring and Summer but should also be fine planted anytime the ground is not frozen.

This product is easy shipped, however, note, that we ship most of our orders on Monday and Tuesday mornings. 

If you would like to arrange a pick-up or delivery CHOOSE "Local-Pick-up" when checking out.

All Local Pick-Up orders should be in by the end of day Wednesday if you would like it by the weekend. We cannot promise to be able to fill later orders.
