Jerusalem Artichokes 1/2 lbs
$15 for a 1/2lbs
Jerusalem Artichokes are an amazing permaculture crop. They go by other names like Sunchokes, Sunroot and Earthapple. They are a species of sunflower although they do not produce seed like normal sunflowers. Rather they are cultivated for their tubers and used as a vegetable.
Sunchokes can be eaten raw, cooked, pied, or pickled to name a few ways they can be used. They have a sweet taste and are loaded with huge health benefits.
This is a plant that multiplies abundantly and is easy to care for. Plant these tubers once and you will never have to plant them again.
Note
When choosing a place to plant them be sure it is where you will want them as they come back year after year.
A personal note from experience
The first year we planted these we dug up what we thought was every tuber but to our amazement tons of volunteer plants came up. They do not really spread but will continuously come back where they were planted.

Natures Super Food - Monday, February 7, 2022 AudreyMy bulbs arrived quickly and in great shape. Matt VanderWaal was a great help in giving me instructions on how to get them planted. I’m super excited I was able to find these at such a great price. I plan on planting them not only for their value as a food crop, and pollinator attractor, but also to help break up my clay soil and improve our pasture.
